DAY 1 – LISBON | COSTA DA CAPARICA
Arrival at Lisbon airport. Assistance and transfer to INATEL in Costa da Caparica. Dinner and accommodation.
 
DAY 2 – LISBON, SINTRA AND COLARES
Departure to Colares (Sintra), set against the backdrop of the Sintra mountain range and very near to the ocean, this is a truly wonderful place to visit. In this renowned wine region, the vineyards are hidden among sand dunes on the coast, which shelter the grapes. Visit to a wine estate and cellar. Wine tasting before a traditional regional lunch. On the way to Sintra short stopover in Roca Cape, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. Stroll through the historical center of the romantic Sintra. Try the famous local pastry, the “travesseiros” and “queijadas”. We continue to Bucelas, where an amazing white wine is produced. Dinner and Fado show. Accommodation. 
 
DAY 3 – ALENTEJO AND SETÚBAL PENINSULA
Departure to the fascinating Alentejo, where you can sample delicious dishes and the finest wines this region has to offer. Arrival to Évora, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Short visit followed by wine tasting. Traditional regional lunch. We continue our tour to one of the most reputable farms of the region: Herdade do Esporão. In the afternoon we cross the Alentejo plains until we get to the Setúbal Península, a land of wine-growing traditions. Visit to the cellars Caves José Maria da Fonseca. Dinner in Setúbal, a town with an ancient fishing tradition which reflects on the local cuisine. We continue to Costa da Caparica. Accommodation.
 
DAY 4 - – DÃO E BAIRRADA
Departure to Beira-Alta region, in central Portugal. This region is known by the Dão wines, where red wines are velvety and with intense notes of ripened fruit. Visit to the estate Quinta de Cabriz, and try the local cuisine served with the best Dão’s wines. After lunch, departure to Bairrada region on the coast. This is a region of plain, fertile lands and a moderate climate. Here several and high quality red and white wines are produced. We arrive to Mealhada and will visit the Bairrada Wine Museum, followed by a visit to Aliança Underground Museum in Sangalhos, a unique place where art meets wines in the underground caves (wines tasting included). Traditional regional dinner: try the famous Leitão Assado à Bairrada (roast suckling piglet), a century-long tradition. We continue to Oporto. Accommodation in hotel.
 
DAY 5 – VINHO VERDE
Morning trip to the Minho region. The “Vinho Verde” (green wine) is unique to this part of the world. This lightly sparkling wine is produced in a marked region renowned for its excellent white wines. We arrive at Monção to visit what is considered to be the best “Vinho Verde” estate: Palácio da Brejoeira. We will have a tour of the palace, chapel, gardens, cellar and vineyards. Traditional regional lunch. Departure to Guimarães, known as the Nation’s Cradle and birthplace of D. Afonso Henriques, the country’s first king. Visit the historical center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Oporto. Dinner and accommodation.
 
DAY 6 – DOURO VALLEY 
We leave in the morning towards the Douro Valley, considered one of the World's Best Sustainable Development Destinations. We will visit the farm Quinta do Panascal. An audio visit will be provided while we stroll through the vineyards, winepress and the cellar, followed by a Port wine tasting. We proceed to Pinhão and visit the railway station, a 19th century building which is covered wall to wall with 24 panels of tiles (azulejos) depicting the Douro valley and the harvests. We continue the tour through the vineyards along the Torto river on the way to São João da Pesqueira. Traditional regional lunch. We continue to São Salvador do Mundo where you can enjoy fantastic views of Douro River. Return to Ribalonga on the way to the Tua river. Stopover to enjoy the terraced vineyards and olive tree fields. We continue to Vila Real. Wine themed dinner. Accommodation in a hotel in Vila Real.
 
 
DAY 7 – OPORTO 
Departure to Oporto. Stroll through its narrow and typical streets. A walking tour will allow you to discover the historical center (UNESCO World Heritage Site) of a city built along the hillsides overlooking the mouth of the river Douro. Visit to Palácio da Bolsa, a neoclassical palace, constructed in the 19th century as the stock exchange for the city. Journey continues to a Port Wine cellar for wine tasting. Lunch. Afternoon cruise in the Douro River. From the river one gains another perspective of the city, showcasing all its architectural magnificence. Enjoy the palaces, the fortified churches, the traditional districts and its welcoming population. Dinner and accommodation.
 
DAY 8 – END OF TOUR | RETURN 
Transfer to Oporto or Lisbon airport. Assistance with check-in procedures. End of tour.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

These general conditions are indicative and may be complemented with the detailed travel program and its particular conditions.

ORGANIZATION

The tourism services are organized by INATEL Turismo (a registered trademark of INATEL Foundation), headquartered at Calçada de Sant’Ana 180, 1169-062 Lisbon, registered at Turismo de Portugal IP., under number 2954 (RNAVT).

RESPONSIBILITY

Fundação INATEL is responsible for the correct performance of all services included in the travel contract.

INATEL is not responsible for errors in the booking that are attributed to the participant or that are caused by unavoidable and exceptional circumstances.

RESERVATIONS

Reservations must be made in writing to tourism@inatel.pt, including all the necessary information for the tour program (dates, typology of hotel and rooms, etc.).

Reservations are only considered con­firmed after written acceptance and a deposit guarantee.

INSURANCE

INATEL's liability is guaranteed by civil insurance, according to the portuguese legislation.

We recommend that all participants have a personal accident insurance that can protect against any accidents. If necessary, INATEL can provide available insurance options.

PRICES

The prices informed with the proposal have a validity of acceptance. They may be changed until the ­final confi­rmation of the services and/or for reasons attributed to force majeure circumstances.

PAYMENTS

In general terms, the applicable payment policy is as follows:

• With service confi­rmation – 25% deposit

• Full payment – before participants arrival

• The payment policy can be changed depending on the conditions of the suppliers

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

The cancellation policy is informed on the detailed proposal, but in general terms the following applies:

• Cancellations, total or partial, will only be accepted in writing;

• No cancellation charges apply for services cancelled 45 days prior to service, except non-refundable deposits;

• Cancellations with less than 45 days may incur in cancellation fees, to be determined on a case-by-case basis. INATEL will make every effort to minimize cancellation expenses.

HOTELS

The category of hotels complies with the Portuguese legislation. Some INATEL hotels are not classi­fied as hotels, being designated as “holiday centres”.

CLAIMS

Any non-compliance in the execution of a service included in the travel contract must be presented in writing to INATEL, as soon as such non-compliance occurs, and the participant must inform the suppliers of those services during the trip, demanding from them the respective documents proving the occurrence.

ASSISTANCE

INATEL has an assistance telephone to support group travel.

In case of difficulties for the participant, or when, for reasons that are not attributed to him, he cannot complete the tour, INATEL will provide the necessary assistance, under the terms of the law, and may charge, if justifi­ed, a fee to the participant in the amount of costs incurred.
